Hello everyone! Please take the time to complete this Asian American Men’s College Campus Study. You will be rewarded with a $10 iTunes gift card or a choice to donate $10 to a nonprofit, charity or student organization. I would very much appreciate if you would donate the proceeds to either the the HIV Youth Project or to NAASCon, which is fundraising for their biennial 2008 conference at Emory University. Not only will you be participating in a study gauging Asian American male college students’ lifestyles, you will also be able to donate to two worthwhile charities.

Please note that to be eligible to participate in this study, you must:
-be at least 18 years old
-be male
-be a college student (undergraduate) or recent college graduate (graduated within the last year)
-be Asian American (includes multi-racial or hapa)
-have spent at least half of your childhood/adolescence in the United States.
You will be compensated for your time with a $10 iTunes gift certificate. You have the option to waive the gift voucher and instead donate the $10 to Mam Non, a supportive organization for families that adopt from Asia (www.mamnon.org), or another charity of your choice (i.e., fraternity, student group, not-for-profit).
With this study, we are trying to understand the unique experiences of Asian American male college students in the U.S. In this survey, you will be presented with a series of questions asking about your thoughts, experiences, and perspectives. We ask that you carefully read through each set of questions and after thinking about each one, try to provide your best answer for each question. Remember, we only want to know about your personal opinions and feelings, and there are no right or wrong answers to these questions. We will also ask you to provide some background information and information about your current health behaviors. Please try to answer these questions as accurately as possible.
Your participation is completely voluntary, it involves no deception, and you may withdraw from the study at any time without any adverse effect to you. You may choose not to answer some questions. In answering the series of questions, there is no mental or physical stress, risk, or invasion of privacy. In addition, you may skip any questions that you do not feel comfortable answering and you will still receive compensation. The information collected in this survey is completely confidential.
When you have completed filling out your answers to the survey, your information will be accessible only to authorized members of the research team. The information collected in this study will remain confidential and any findings used in future publications will be presented in such a way that individuals cannot be identified.
