The HIV Youth Project is a student run not-for-profit organization. We depend on grassroot contributions from our supporters to cover our overhead maintenance costs as well as to further invest in the Project.
As many of you know, we have started the Project as a personal endeavor born of an equally personal struggle. Despite many misgivings and obstacles, the Project has moved forward, reaching an estimated 2,500+ individuals in 878 different cities in 79 countries around the world since our initial launch in October 2007. But there is still so much more work to be done. The Project has been personally funded hitherto, but in order to provide a broader, more inclusive, basis of support, we will need an infusion of capital
Our short- and long-term goals:
- Cover immediate and long-term overhead site maintenance costs
- To further invest in, publicize and expand the Project
- Endow a scholarship fund for HIV/AIDS youth and/or activists
- Achieve official 501(c)1 tax-exempt status
